I subscribe to Roger Eberts newsletter. It’s not a newsletter from the dead, his wife has gathered many movie critics, and they do weekly reviews of new movies coming out. None are in the same category for sure, but it’s a good way to keep up with new movies.
This new crop of movie reviewers is longwinded to say the least. Some of the reviews use more words than the short stories I read. But I skim and read the comments to see if I even want to watch a preview.
Here are some of the previews I watched this week. The newsletter featured 22 movies.
The first one I watched was Civil War, lot of discussion about this one in the comments. I will not be going to see it in a theatre and I doubt I would watch it in my living room.
Umm, I might watch this in my living room on a rainy day if I’ve smoked so much I’m too stupid to understand anything else. I think it would be fun then.
I would watch this from my living room, I’d just check my suicidal status before I hit play.
This one I’m going to the theatre to see, I think. My credit union sells movie tickets for $9.
I will for sure watch this one in my living room, mostly because this 10 day, over 400 mile race is insane. I’ve only seen a few bits of it before, it’s crazy stupid, and I want to see more.
There were other previews that sounded maybe good that I didn’t even watch the trailers for. Maybe another time. High and Low, Remembering Gene Wilder, Apples Never Fall, One Life, Club Zero. Which would you watch?
