Here is what is in the budget-from-hell proposed by the largest Republican committee on Capitol Hill for FY 2025 —
From www.whitehouse.gov/...
- Cuts $1.5 trillion from Social Security
- Raises Social Security Retirement age to 69, cuts disability benefits
- Raises Medicare costs & cuts caps on pharma fees. Removes Medicare’s authority to negotiate prescription drug costs, repeals $35 insulin.
- Cuts Medicaid, ACA/Obamacare & the Children’s Health Insurance Prog by $4.5 trillion over 10 years
- Bans abortion nationwide and threatens in-vitro fertilization
- Kills jobs and investment in communities by eliminating all clean energy tax incentives
- Eliminate the Climate Protection Program and leave the Paris Climate Accords
- Makes it easier for companies and banks to rip consumers off with unfair and hidden junk fees by eliminating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
- Raises housing costs by cutting funding for rental assistance, cutting funding for programs that help build housing, and raising mortgage costs for first-time homebuyers.
- Creates $5.5 trillion in tax cuts for the rich and corporations.
Also, bans universal free school meals, eliminates NLRB, defund OSHA & EPA, cuts all UNRWA funding, criminalizes gender-affirming care and bans high speed rail. theintercept.com/...
There is lot more ugliness is the full extremely right-wing budget proposal - hern.house.gov/…
It’s all about cutting benefits and services and squeezing the middle and working class so that the rich donor/owner class can further enrich themselves with even lower taxes.
Number of times these words appear in the document — this is a highly political right-wing document. Why are some of these words even there in a budget document?

Statement from President Biden -
Statement from VP Kamala Harris -
Democratic leaders have been quick to react to this budget proposal and to start educating the people about the true agenda of the GOP.
These are tough times — with a GOP that is becoming more and more unhinged and untethered from reality and their leaders not afraid to show their hands, confident that the voters can be persuaded to vote against their interests with a constant barrage of lying and gaslighting over social media.
Let’s redouble our efforts to spread the truth and mobilize voters to throw these dangerous bums out. Let’s write about and discuss this budget proposal and compare it with the Democratic budget, among our friends and family and social media acquaintances. Let’s focus more on this than trump’s daily antics and unhinged mutterings.
