As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Greetings, friends. Welcome to yet another Saturday. We made it through another week, and here we are! I have been reading a lot lately, and as a result I have been writing a lot of Storytime Diaries, and here is another!
Occasionally, I sit down and comb through Audible, looking for free books to add to my collection, either because I am out of credits, or because I am bored, and want to try something new. This time, it was a little of both. I had seen an item in my social stream a few times, and the title sounded interesting, but it was, book seven, in a series, so instead of starting in the middle, and treading words until I figured out what was going on. I backtracked my way through until I found the first book in the series and found out that it was free. In fact, the first four books in the series are free, and as if that wasn’t enough to make me curious, the series is read by one of my favorite audio narrators. The first books were only a few hours a piece, and normally I wouldn’t spend a credit on things of that length, but these were free, so I took a chance, and by the time I was half way through the first book, I was hooked.
I have not yet read the rest of the series, but I will definitely be adding the entire series to my TBR list. I recommend that yo do the same. If you like science fiction, robots, murder mysteries, and if you are perhaps a fan of Isaac Asimov’s “I, Robot.” then you will enjoy Martha Wells’s series, “The Murderbot Diaries.
If you would like to give it a shot, then I recommend that you “All Systems Red.” and continue from there. As always, find the links below.
