The decision of Eleven Films to put their for-profit work on hiatus until the Nov 5th Election means they need money from donors to keep them working for Joe Biden and the rest of us.
I first noticed Eleven Films a few years ago
when their videos started showing up in my Twitter feed. I remember thinking, “what Hollywood PR firm is behind this”?
Turns out, Eleven Films is an independent video/short film production company based out of Portland, Oregon. It was founded by Tiffany and James Drastic. Locals in the Portland, Oregon Metro area.
Back in 2020, Nick Knudsen, one of the founders of and the Executive Director of the progressive, Democratic candidate supporting, multi-Media online activist organization DemCast, had this to say about Eleven Films:

Four years ago the DemCast org and it’s members (one of whom is me) ponied up and helped Eleven Films keep their lights on and churning out content.
That funding source should include the Daily Kos Community.
We’re a big crowd here at Daily Kos, and in Feb of 2024 we had 54.15 million visits!
I know that you will be asked to donate to a lot of campaigns over the April to November period this year. Also, speaking with Tiffany, we decided that should the Daily Kos Community fund the entire production of a short film/ad (Minimum of $10,000) that the Community would get to choose the issue that short film/ad covers!

We have talked A LOT with GenZ’s and Millennials this cycle and their top concerns are our top concerns. Gun safety, Women’s healthcare, climate change and MAGA extremism.
We’ll be doing a lot of short content centered around voter registration and of course our signature Blue Wave for 2024 once all the primaries have ended.
