We want to follow each other on whatever social media we frequent in order to spread the reach of our Boosting Biden posts. A few platforms limit following, which means you need specific strategies to cope with their rules.
Twitter/X
You aren’t allowed to follow many more than 5,000 tweeps unless you have that many followers. That means you have to stop following all of the resisters you run into, and cut back on those you previously followed when you approach the limit. I am there, so I can’t participate fully in Follow Back Resister #FBR parties. Instead of following participants, I post the link to my list of Follow Back Party hosts, which is in my pinned tweet in my profile.

Instagram
You are allowed only so many follows per day. I run into lots of people I would like to follow, not only resisters but bird and animal photographers. So first, each day, I vet and follow those who have followed me the day before, and then I go off to see what else is interesting. When I reach my follow limit for the day, I Like their pictures, and then I use the Save icon, a ribbon below the image and to the far right. That brings up a menu of my collections that I can save to. For accounts that I cannot follow at the moment, I choose my Cannot Follow collection. Then I can go back another day, bring up the collection, and go through posts one at a time to follow the author, and then save the image to another collection such as Birds or Animals.
Of course this means I fall farther behind every day. But maybe Instagram will relent someday, and let me start to catch up.

Not all platforms have the follow feature.
I haven’t reached a limit elsewhere. Let me know if you have, and we’ll work something out
