This week, I decided to post some of my favorite songs from the band called Gorillaz.
My wife, Tonia, who died two years ago, introduced me to this music.
I went through the Billboard hit songs from all the recent years, and I do not recall any of these songs showing up on those charts.
So, I decided to post a few of my favorite Gorillaz songs.
In the comments, feel free to post more songs by Gorillaz, or songs by other bands that did not get the attention you feel they deserve.
Or post any songs you feel like posting.
Here we go:
I cannot get enough of that song.
Smooth, yet with a hard rhythm.
Three or four scary movies, all in one music video!
Ha!
I like the story line of one adult, taking care of a group of small children, sending up a flare, to get help for all of them.
So charming.
And the music is okay, as well!
Ha!
Mainly bass guitar, and one finger on the keyboard.
The running joke seems to be the woman holding the lead guitar but has no notes to play!
Ha!
Once again, mainly the bass guitar, with all the rest added to round it out.
The main thing here seems to be the hip-hop rapping in the middle of it all.
I like it.
Get the cool shoeshine!
Yes!
Musically, this may be my favorite.
Strong beat, high notes.
Nice.
So smooth, so mellow!
And you can’t go wrong with Jack Black in the video!
Okay, I will quit posting songs at this point.
If you can find more Gorillaz songs you want to post, feel free to post them in the comments.
If you have any other songs by any other bands you want to post in the comments, feel free.
Hugs!
