I have one more idea to discuss, about politics.
Then I will simply post some of my recent YouTube videos all about my cozy home life.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at, to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off Daily Kos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on Daily Kos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
This is our current schedule of regular IAN diary writers:

Okay, click on this link, and look at that map:
www.270towin.com
This shows us something I never paid much attention to.
I am 68 years old, and just now learning:
Years ago, I heard something strange about Nebraska and Maine.
Something strange about their Electoral College votes.
As you look at that map at that link (did you click on it?) you will see that Maine and Nebraska have 5 Electoral College votes each.
Based on two Senators, and 3 House members.
But in those two states, the Electoral College votes for the House members are free-for-all, apparently going to whichever Presidential ticket is favored by the voters in those House districts.
Hey!
I like that!
It came to my attention this year, because there was talk of Nebraska changing to winner-take-all, like most states.
That idea is not going forward.
Joe Scarborough, of Morning Joe, on MSNBC, a lifelong Republican, now turned hard core never Trumper, that man said, okay, make Nebraska winner-take-all. Then do the same for Maine! Maine, if you look at that map at that link (did you click on it?) that map shows us that Maine usually gives the Democratic ticket three EC votes, and one to Republicans, and one tossup.
All that made me think about Kansas, and our EC votes.
It may be too late to make a change for this year, 2024, but I truly want Kansas to do what Maine and Nebraska do.
And, maybe, all fifty states should do that.
I am aware that doing so might do more harm than good, giving the Republican ticket a few EC votes from California, for example.
I am not going to take a deep dive, right now, to figure all that out.
But I simply want my vote for the Biden/Harris ticket to actually count, to actually have some power, in my country, the USA.
Here in Kansas, the 3rd District is blue, with Sharice Davids elected by Democrats in our 3rd District.
So, at least those voters could send one EC vote to the Biden/Harris ticket.
And if we somehow flip our 4th District, which includes my hometown of Wichita, then my vote would count, as well, towards the Biden/Harris victory.
Okay, enough politics.
I am in the mood to post the eight most recent videos from my YouTube channel.
They have very few comments, so you can liven up the comments, if you click “Watch on YouTube” and post comments below each video.
Or you can just watch them and skip the commenting efforts.
Or you can just skip them altogether!
Ha!
Laundry day:
Hey, that video has a nice long comment, that just showed up a few hours ago.
I just posted a thoughtful reply.
You are welcome to join the conversation, about laundry!
Ha!
Ramen noodles:
If you put way too much salt in your noodles, water it down with cream style corn!
Ha!
Cozy, organized home:
Hey, more comments, a back-and-forth conversation, below this video.
Pinching pennies:
That one includes my chicken salad recipe.
Time to plant tomatoes and onions, here in Wichita, Kansas:
We will see what kind of crop I actually get.
Last year I got a lot of tomatoes and made tomato juice in my Ninja blender.
More hard work on my veggie garden:
That wore me out that day.
Chili!
That chili is so tasty, and so filling.
Uncle Mark sings!
I need to get a better microphone before I do much singing in my videos.
Well, there it is, for all the world to see, the Uncle Mark YouTube channel.
I hope you enjoyed at least a little of what I posted.
Hugs!
