So Saddam has been captured. Excellent work on the part of our troops. The military kicked ass.
And now we can all take few days off while the right-wingers exult in this "justification" for the war and the sheep of America say, "Oh, I was starting to doubt but of course this means the war was good, right?"
And Bushco still treats our allies with dismissiveness and arrogance, and Iraq is still a mess, and our deficit is huge and Halliburton is guilty of war profiteering after getting its jobs via no-bid contracts. And the North Koreans are still leaving, so the power grid is in trouble because we didn't hire Iraqis to work on it. Oh, and we've lost a few hundred servicemen and women and hundreds more have been permanently disabled.
And the mercury levels in our water are going to be allowed to remain unconsciousably high and power plants can trade pollution passes and the logging industry is writing forestry legislation.
And the Medicare bill is a joke. And they want another shot at passing that criminal energy bill.
But no one's listening, so let's take few days off. I've got a lovely vanilla candle and some ginger-lily bubble bath. Aaaaaah.....
