Today four states -- North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi and Utah -- finished off their primaries, holding run-off elections to determine their final slate for November.
North Carolina
NC-Sen: Elaine Marshal won comfortably against DSCC candidate Cal Cunningham for the Democratic nomination and will face off against Sen. Richard Burr (R) in November.
NC-08: Harold Johnson beat tea party loon Tim D'Annunzio and will challenge freshman Rep. Larry Kissell (D). The GOP leadership is cheering.
South Carolina
SC-Gov: Nikki Haley crushed J. Gresham Barrett and will face Democratic nominee Vincent Sheheen this November.
SC-01: Tim Scott beat Paul Thurmond, the son of the late Sen. Strom Thurmond, and will face off against Ben Frasier, the Democratic nominee that doesn't appear to actually be running for the seat.
SC-03: Jeff Duncan won out over Richard Cash and will face Democratic nominee Jane Ballard Dyer for the seat J. Gresham Barrett gave up to run for Governor.
SC-04: As already noted by Jed Lewison, incumbent Rep. Bob Inglis faced the wrath of Glenn Beckites and was slaughtered by Trey Gowdy. Gowdy will beat whoever the heck the Democratic nominee happens to be.
Mississippi
MS-02: Tea party candidates Bill Marcy and Richard Cook are currently duking it out to see who will lose to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D) this fall. Marcy is currently ahead.
Utah
UT-Sen: Mike Lee holds an early lead over Tim Bridgewater in the race to decide who will replace Sen. Bob Bennett. The winner will face Democratic nominee Sam Granato.
UT-02: It looks like incumbent Rep. Jim Matheson (D) will hold on and face Republican nominee Morgan Philpot.
