What did you do in the election against Fascism, Daddy (and Mommy)?
Well, here’s something, right here!
You can sign up at this link for buses to canvass in crucial districts if this weekend you are in or near NYC, Boston, Balt., DC, Phila., Jersey City, Yonkers, Chicago, Evanston, Los Feliz, Pasadena, Oakland, San Mateo, San Francisco, Oakland, UCLA and West Valley.
You may be asking, “But Bethesda 1971. I want to do some thing now” (even if you can’t take the bus this weekend).
Well, you can do what I’m doing: Recruiting people to take the buses! This is very rewarding phone banking, because you’re reaching people disposed not only to vote Dem, but to volunteers. And there’s a new app to easily send texts following up the calls. You’ll have few or no “Stop #%&ing calling me dammit.”
So remember the wise words of Pete Townshend and Dennis Blandford:
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)
I drive my baby every way (Too much, Magic Bus)
Each time I go a different way (Too much, Magic Bus)
I want it, i want it, I want it, I want it ...
