Testimony that marked both Donald Trump and Mark Meadows as being aware that the crowd Trump had assembled to march on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 made for the dominant headlines today, and Trump allies were quick to insist that the allegations of Trump throwing food or lunging at his own driver were false. Nobody, however, came forward to dispute that Trump had been told the crowd was armed and responded by demanding the metal detectors be turned off so that the crowd could stay armed as he turned them on the U.S. Capitol.
Treason is still treason even if nobody threw ketchup, you know. (Oh, but he definitely threw ketchup.)
