A reporter asked Trump, “Can everyone who needs a ventilator get one?”
Trump: “Look, don’t be a cutie-pie, okay?”
Every time you think he can’t get worse, he does it again.
One reason the Trump administration fails so badly is that—as Paul Manafort accidentally warned us in May 2016—Trump had no interest in the actual job of being president and did not want most of the responsibility that came with it:
“He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He sees himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO."
I think he sees himself as the host of the biggest, highest rated game show on earth. All he's interested in is being picked up for next season and since he's a Sociopath, he has no concept that his words and actions have real-world consequences.
His tenuous relationship with reality and lack of self awarness, cause him not only to lie about everything but prevents him from caring that he is telling obvious, provable lies. Worse, it makes it impossible for him to defer to anyone.
So, as we knew would happen, Trump's first real crisis, not of his own making, is simply more than his mushy brain and rotten heart can handle. Maddeningly, his ineptness now is a loaded gun and he's not out on 5th ave. He's on every street in America. People have, are and will die directly due to his actions and inaction.
Keep in mind the Senate can at any time call a vote to remove Trump from office. And at any time Pence can convene the cabinet and invoke the 25th. I see cracks in the facade as of late and if the crisis we're in gets as bad as experts believe it will, with at least multiple thousands of deaths across the country. And if McConnell's caucus sees the cause and effect will sweep their party away for a generation, well, it could, finally be Trump's undoing.
I'm not, pardon the pun, holding my breath but a man can dream. Love y'all. Holla.
