I didn't think someone here would do it. So much for my faith in this little suburban neighborhood.
Let me explain a little, first. My father and I-- I still live with my family, as I'm unemployed at the moment and unable to save for a place of my own-- have a standing agreement. He's a devoted Reagan conservative, and I'm... well, I've been pretty out to the left since about 8th grade. So we have an understanding that we'll never agree on politics, and agree to leave matters at that.
So, after talking about what candidates we supported, I asked to put up a sign on the lawn, under the condition that I go and get him a McCain sign. We'd up them on opposite sides of the driveway, so that passers by would see one, then the other. Many marveled at the amusing split in the household.
This worked out nicely for about a week, when I discovered, after picking my fiancee up from work, that my Obama sign had gone missing.
