Breaking from TPM: "House Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) just announced there will be no vote tonight on the Boehner debt bill."
Well, color me not surprised.
So the vote will come tomorrow, perhaps. Or the day after. He may try to string this out as long as possible; anything to wrangle up enough votes to knock this over to the Senate. Which, perhaps, will simply gut it, drop in Reid's language and mail it back.
Who knows, anymore? I can't even count on the people negotiating, as much as this has gone around in circles.
People are getting anxious. Markets will soon markets already are (maybe I should pay more attention to financial news...), as well. We don't know what will happen if you blow it and none of us want to know. So let's not find out, okay?
