Rep. John Conyers has sent out an APB to all who believe in a real democracy, to help him obtain a resolution of censure against BushCo: "I am taking steps against the Bush Administration's handling of the Iraq War and its collection of intelligence. I am going to need you to stand with me in fighting for accountability. Join me to demand censure for Bush and Cheney in addition to the creation of a Special Committee to investigate impeaching the Bush Administration for its widespread abuses of power."
This is something we've just got to do, people. The conventional wisdom is that The Repugs will never go for this. But whether or not Bush gets censured or (please, God!) impeached depends, in fact, on whether the Repugs think Americans are serious in demanding it. And censure, while not as desirable a final result as impeachment, is a possibility in my view precisely because it gives the Repugs a chance to show disapproval of King George, without having to go all the way.
