It's not enough to take back our government. As if we didn't already know it, tonight's farcical debate hosted by ABC makes clear that we need to take back our media. A "neutral" moderator who was a senior advisor to the Clinton Administration. Ridiculous questions that demeaned our intelligence. Shushing applause for Obama while allowing it for Clinton. George Stephanopolous, Charlie Gibson, and ABC News must think the American public consists of blithering idiots.
This is my very first diary post ever on Daily Kos, and I'll use it to say this: It's time to act. Don't watch ABC news, local or national. Don't click to their website. Don't link to stories on ABC webpages. ABC has made very clear that they don't have a clue what constitutes news, so we won't be missing anything. Send Stephanopolous an email to say that you're astounded by his behavior--then never read him or link to him again.
If we don't act, they won't change. I look forward to posting more nuanced diaries--I'm actually a fairly moderate person. But I'm shocked by what ABC News did tonight.
