Hi all,
It’s been a while since I last posted, but I just haven't been inspired to write about much, until now.
California’s 1st district is overwhelmingly agricultural, and it’s tough to take the seat if you don’t understand ag and ag people. It’s currently held by Doug LaMalfa, a rice farmer, and before him it was held by Wally Herger, a dairy owner, both of whom did nothing for our district. They did, however, manage to pad their bank accounts while in Congress. There have been nice people that ran against them with no luck, but this time I believe we have a really good chance. Her name is Audrey Denney.
Audrey understands and knows farming and ranching, she grew up in it. She went to Chico State and earned a BA and MA in Ag Education. But there’s much more to Audrey than just Ag knowledge. She’s a humanitarian, and I’d say that’s her, first and foremost. She recently stepped down as the president of the board of Cristosal, an internationally renowned human rights organization based in Central America. Audrey knows that many of the best jobs in our district require technical education, not a four-year degree, and she has a smart plan for that. Take the time to read more about her and her ideas, here, it’s worth it.
Let’s get behind this smart, hard-working, progressive woman, and elect her to represent us, and by us I mean the hard-working people of CA-01.
