There is a lot of outrage out there about the New Yorker cover, what it means, what it represents, what it should have done, why it's awful, where letters should be written, how they should be phrased, cancelling subscriptions, etc.
Please, pick your battles. This is not one worth investing energy in. This is the New Yorker, after all. Perhaps not the Nation or whatever progressive magazine you like to read, but still the New Yorker. The magazine that is giving us Seymour Hersh's essential coverage of the drum-beat to war with Iran. How many other magazines are devoting THAT MUCH SPACE to alerting us to what is going on there?
