Hello all, Millrat again. I have been a member of this site for some time. Many of you have no idea who I am.
I tried to catch up on my time away from the site today as I'm on day 2 of a rare weekend off.
I read that a Mass. Political figure died of Covid after denial of its severity. What I found troubling were the comments section.
I am fully vaccinated, have been since it was available to me. The other 5 people in my household refuse to take the shot.
I have tried everything I can to allay their anxieties and fears about the vaccine, to no avail.
None of these people are stupid, or part of a cult. I've been with Mrs. Millrat 42 years, she knows I won't lie to her about this, but she still won't listen.
My point is, many in the comment section about the representative in Massachusetts seemed to celebrate her death as some sort of vindication that they are righteous.
I am vaccinated because my family is not. I minimize their exposure to the public by doing all the shopping and work in town.
I don't know why they feel the way they do, but I never celebrate their death.
Walk a mile in their shoes before you celebrate your brilliance.
Keep making things,
Millrat
