I read a crawler on Al Jazerra/English that said President-elect Obama had gone back on his word to close Gitmo in 100 days and knew I had to read what was really said. Yes, he did say that, but he also said:
"I don't want to be ambiguous about this. We are going to close Guantanamo and we are going to make sure that the procedures we set up are ones that abide by our constitution," he said."

Mr Obama made his first impromptu public appearance in Washington since winning the election to grab a bite at landmark eatery Ben's Chili Bowl yesterday. With Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty in tow, he strode into the restaurant and ordered sweet tea and chilli half-smoke sausage, before joking with diners.
What other President would ever have announced he was hampered and going back on a campaign promise, and what other President would pop into a chili shop in DC with the Mayor in tow for a snack? This is my knid of President!
