Now that Bill Clinton has failed to make his wife the first woman president of the United States, I predict he will start grooming his daughter for the job. He wants to be able to say he put a woman in the White house. Bill Clinton could have been a much better president during the 1990s but I suspect everything he did was calculated from the perspective of how it would be seen when Hillary ran. He probably could have opposed welfare reform, media monopolies, and tough crime laws, but to do so would have painted the Clinton brand as too liberal, or too anti-media, all of which would have hurt Hillary's run. Better to just run a half-assed presidency during the 90s, and then get it right when Hillary was in charge. Bill reportedly told Hillary to run in 2004, but she didn't follow her brilliant husband's advice. If she had, she'd have been president by now, as she would never have been challenged by Obama.
In any event, I predict we'll see Chelsea run for something in the not so distant future, and the media narrative will become that she's avenging her mother's rightful place in history.
