This was breaking over at Huffington Post so there isn't a whole lot of detail. I know it's a short diary, but after all, it's "BREAKING".
There's been a lot of yelling and gnashing of teeth over political stuff this past week (i.e. all the Rhambo diaries). I thought a nice diversion on a Sunday afternoon would be to find out where people either a) went on their honeymoon or b) had a memorable trip on a vacation. I certainly don't want to exclude people who aren't married or who didn't have a great honeymoon from sharing their trip experiences.
According to Science Insider (the blog of the journal Science), Obama has decided on his Science Advisor. He's a good pick from the sound of things.
Many here who are Wisconsin residents are familiar with the law suit brought by the WI A.G. that forces the state to go back and check to make sure the voter rolls going back to 2006 match up with registration data. This past Sunday in the Wisconsin State Journal their was a front page article about concerns that the databases is going to be full of errors and lead to big problems come election day. I think I personally have run up against one such error, and it gives me concern for myself come election day.
So my wife's just gone to bed after we've watched some episodes from season 1 of Six Feet Under. All those who recommended that show back in my last diary here I REALLY want to thank you.
There's been a slew of Edwards-related diaries over the last 24 hours, and of course we're deep in the general election stuff. How about a little change of pace.
I was originally going to post this as a comment to BarbinMD's front page post about McCain and the internets. After I had written it I realized that I had written something long enough to stand alone as a diary. So without further ado- my 3rd diary here on dKos.
For those who subscribe, like me, to XM radio come July 14 XM's Air America channel is going to be changing names and lineups. I've been thinking this might happen sooner or later. Sooner has won out over later.
This is my first diary. It is not a political diary. Yes, the title is in regard to the movie from a few years ago, "Lost in Translation". I saw this movie when it was out in theaters. In fact I remember the day that my wife and I saw it- it happened to be the same day the the Chicago Cubs clinched the Central Division back in '03 (as a Cubs fan, I distinctly remember that fateful day and how that Cubs baseball season ended up). I look back at this late hour or the night and remember the bittersweet feeling I felt afer watching that movie.
