Well, as Bush "surges" the troops it looks like another "surge" is going on, this time in the energy sector. While many people are distracted by body counts, a draft oil and gas law for Iraq was put together.
And surprise, surprise, it reveals some very interesting items.
The recent incident in Iran with the bombing of a bus carrying Iranian Revolutionary Guard troops allegedly by a Sunni militant group called Jundallah (God's Brigade) has made wonder if all the talk about "if the U.S. will attack Iran?" should be changed to from a question to a statement, as in, "the U.S. has attacked Iran."

Just checking the headlines at Iraqi casualties and I came across a story in the Hartford Courant about the increase in suicides among military personnel in the combat zone.
One story in particular was pretty sad, the story of 21-year-old Pfc Tina Priest from Austin, Texas. She apparently committed suicide on March 1, 2006, after being raped by a fellow soldier.
Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, announced his campaign for the Presidency yesterday. In typical Mitt fashion, the announcement for a new political office took place in a place where he doesn't really have residence, this time it was Michigan.
