I will do anything to make this up to you guys. I know I have become very annoying and I am so sorry. I just don't know where else to turn. This is a terrible time of year for everyone, including all of the agencies that do help people financially. I give you my word I will not post another diary about this issue except the one to update you all when we get Nicole home. If we could scrounge up 400 people that could each donate $1 then we would be where we need to be. We have cut out as much expense as we can. We are cutting every corner we can find.
The name of the woman that is going to transport Nicole is Penny. She is a 60 year old truck driver with a heart of gold. She is truly a blessing. She was the only other person that stepped up to the plate to help me make this happen. Until you guys came along, of course! She and I are willing to pay anyone back that needs us too. It would be monthly payments but we will do it. We are just so close and I don't want to give up. I have never been a quitter. If we could keep her there until my SSI check comes in on the 18th then I would be happy to throw the rest in. If anyone can help but needs their money back just message me and we can work it out. Thank you all so much for everything you have all done so far. We are $400 short. I will keep you updated so that we take nothing more than just what we need. Please forgive me for being so tenacious!
I can't even begin to express our gratitude at the love you guys have shown our cause. The transporter and I have given all we have to give money wise. The transporter is eating the cost to drive to Huron from her home near Spencer, Iowa.
You guys have managed to raise almost $1000! Our Facebook group finally let us post the gofundme story and they raised $200. It will be tight but another $400 to $500 should do it. Thank you all so much for the love you have given to our cause!
I am so sorry to keep posting this. We have tried every agency in South Dakota that we can get a hold of. Even Salvation Army. Every agency that we have reached is telling us that the money they had allotted for the year is gone. Call back after the first of the year is all we are hearing. I have tried every rental agency I can find on Google and no one rents cargo vans for anything other than local use. We spoke with the attorney this morning and he managed to convince the landlord to give us until Friday at 5pm to have Nicole out of there. We are up to $527 in donations on paypal and $140 on Gofundme. I did manage to find a cheaper truck at Budget for about $850.00. We still need $300-400 for fuel and a few dollars to feed the woman that is taking her own vacation time to transport Nicole. Penny is a truck driver for a living. She is asking for nothing but transportation home and a meal or two on the way there. I am not sure how long the journey is. They may need to stay in a very cheap motel halfway through the trip so as not to over stress Nicole's body or the dog.
We are beyond grateful for every donation, rec, prayer, well wish and re-post. This is the most amazing community I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Filled with love and kindness, even for a perfect stranger. We can't thank you enough. We feel terrible continuing to ask for help however we just can't get her moved without the total amount needed. Thank you to everyone that has contributed. I know this is crazy but even if 500 people could each contribute $1 that would put us a lot closer to our goal!
We have been blessed by two people offering frequent flier miles which has cut our amount needed down by $350-400. We are very grateful for that also. It is a huge help.
Below is the post from yesterday. This is Nicole's story.
My daughter needs our help. She has a disabled friend that will become homeless on Tuesday along with one current and one retired service dog. This is her story.
Nicole suffers from many disabilities. She has been diabetic since the age of four. The diabetes has affected her vision to the point of no longer being able to drive. She was in a near fatal car accident several years ago which caused extensive damage physically. The worst thing by far was the traumatic brain injury. She was in a coma for just over one month. The brain injury has in some ways affected her judgement. She is far too trusting for one thing.
About a year ago, Nicole's aunt convinced her to move from Tennessee to South Dakota so that she and her daughter could help care for her. It turns out the only thing they wanted to help with was spending her SSI check. That has left her with no money and just a few short days before the Sheriff puts her belongings on the street. She has a five year old service dog and a fifteen year old retired service dog that she has had since eight weeks of age. She has somewhere to go in Tennessee if we can get her there and my daughter has found someone that will transport her from Huron, SD to Lebanon, TN if we can raise the funds for a Uhaul and a bus ticket to get the transporter back home.
We are down to the wire. Now we are desperate for financial assistance. My daughter been working with the landlords and they have given her time above and beyond what the court ruled. If anyone can even spare $1, it will get us closer to getting her home.
Thank you for any assistance.

Update: http://gofundme.com/.... is Nicole's gofundme account. That is a zero after the g in case you have to go to it manually. We have been having trouble with the page.
My daughter is even willing to pay back whatever funds she can. She is also disabled so it would not be quick but she is willing to do whatever is needed.
