I've been disheartened by the complete lack of news regarding the war in Iraq recently. The senate just passed the largest war funding bill in the history of America and it barely gets a mention in the blogosphere nevermind the mainstream media.
What happened to the 'bring the troops home' mentality. Where is the outrage that within the last few days 80 iraqis have been murdered in car bombings and 8 US soldiers have died in those same incidents? 4113 is the number of US soliders who have lost their lives to this war.
To date, over a millions Iraqis and by latest estimates close to 10,000 or more Afghani's have died in the Bush Wars.
162 billion American dollars, given by you, the taxpayer is headed to Iraq and Afghanistan to continue the slaughter and devastation of the two populations.
I guess you could say this is a reminder diary to those of you are thinking that it still matters when McCain does something stupid. Or it still matters how much Obama gives to Clinton and whether he picks Clinton as his VP. Whether he does, or does not - The Iraq War is continuing, as is the death and destruction ,as we debate these inane points.
Can we get back to the real issues please?
