What is it about the GOPers' "No" that you don't understand?
Every negotiation point you've put through their "kill-grinder" has ended up on their "No" pile. Let it go. Stop. You've bend over backwards so much to provide an acceptable accommodation, that your too close to kissing your own *---- forgive me for putting it that way, but trying to find their surrender point, is doing nothing more than undermining whatever value you convey the word "practical" solution has to us out here in the country.
Think about how much time this whole issue has taken. You've given it your best shot. Call off Vice President Biden. Let the opposition die by it's own doings. The GOP has no interest in reasonable proposals that do not win the praises of their extreme wing. That can mean only one thing: total capitulation on your part--and by extension, ours as well.
Any last minute deal concocted by the Vice President and Minority Leader McConnell, will be but a band-aid that will come off when the Budget ceiling issue comes due. It's time to stand firm, not give up more and to let the chips fall where they may. I am not a rich man, nor does that mean I speak for anyone but myself. I will suffer my share of the impact of going over the cliff, but if that's what it takes to start anew, then so be it. I supported you, voted for you, believe in you, but the more the other side drags you into believing they hold THE just solution the more you give away credibility you've invested with us.
