Yesterday, front page poster "Allah Pundit" on the conservative blog "HotAir", couldn't decide which conspiracy theory about New Jersey Republican governor Chris Christie's praise of the president is the correct one. What is Christie thinking? Even worse, he is inviting President Obama to survey the damage today (what nerve! He acts as if the president of our country has any business with national/state disasters)!

The Christie-skeptic theory would be that (a) at a minimum, he’s prioritizing his own reelection bid as governor over Romney’s campaign and (b) that just maybe he secretly hopes Romney loses because it’d clear the way for his own 2016 candidacy.
Even more funny? You have the commentors on this site arguing with one another whether Christie is:
1. In fact playing 11-dimensional chess trying to get Romney elected by NOT refusing help from Obama.
2. Vying for 2016 by getting a nice photo op and hoping Romney loses.
3. Simply hates Romney and wants him to lose out of spite.
My take? You are watching a party so desperate (since swing state polls indicate the opposite of Mittmentum: OMENTUM and O'win!) that they can't simply admit that maybe, just MAYBE Christie is more concerned about the 20,000+ people trapped in their homes RIGHT NOW (with no electricity or running water) in Hoboken alone.
This, along with the other Romney/Republican antics today, stinks of desperation to me. It smells like a party that knows its days are numbered (literally).
Check out the comments for great hilarity!
