How many times have we heard this? He/She got what was coming to them.
When it comes to police, corrections officers and other members of law enforcement, even death is becoming an acceptable form of punishment. Because…well just because. Maybe they had it coming.
Who makes that call by the way? You know, a death sentence? Is it law enforcement when you are in their custody? And what exactly does one have to do in order to receive this death sentence at the hands of law enforcement?

Another tragedy unwinds in Colorado. The country mourns for the lives that were cut way to short.
The memories of that night will remain for a lifetime. Sadly and worse yet, for those who were wounded, many will have medical bills.

I stepped into the pharmacy last Friday and it was a bit busier than usual. It is a smaller pharmacy as pharmacies go. A sort of mom and pop operation located in a building with around 10 doctor offices. Just down the street is a hospital. The area is lower middle class with a fair share of poor working class.

From MSNBC the title pretty much sums things up. US consumers go AWOL, taking recovery with them. Many have said that this recession or whatever one may call it, is a longterm proposition. More news in fact this nation's economy is still quite ill. Essentially there is no more there, there.

Back on June 11, I wrote a diary titled Can I speak to the Dr.? I have a problem. I promised an update of things and the process. Here is that update.

One of the steps I have made is through a diary. The support, advice, information and the people who followed up on me as I began this process is humbling to say the least. Daily Kos is a vast repository of information on not just the politics of our time, but a wealth of insight seldom found in one place.

For years I have suffered with degenerative disc disorder and other back ailments. Modern medicine to the rescue. To be sure the pain killers on the market today can and do allow many individuals such as myself to carry on with normal lives albeit at the risk of...addiction.

Most of us know of the euphoria experienced when administered a powerful narcotic. Whatever pain you are under going is relieved and for a moment in time you feel “good.” Really good. Therein lies the problem, the pain goes away, plus, you feel better. Who doesn't want to feel better. I know I do. Onward and upward.

Through the years I kept to a regimen indicated by my physician(s). On occasion I would stray when the pain was above it's normal level. Simply, just add more to get the desired effect. Simply, just add more to get the desired effect. Simply, just add more to get the desired effect. Simply, just add more to get the desired effect. And more and more and more, until....

It's just another day in America and the cost of health insurance keeps it's trajectory to the stratosphere. Working Americans, if you are lucky enough to be working in America are in the sights of the republican evil doers. Still, working Americans are under attack with continuing aid from the slobbering rightwing mouthpieces in the media. And so on and so on, as it all goes so merrily rolling along at our expense as they cash the checks.

I sure as hell hope, I don't regret doing this. However, sometimes it helps to face what it is in front of us that spurs us to say or do certain things.

If you cannot prove it, it is a lie and besides, I know that I am right because other people like me believe it too. And, they have said they agree with me. They are smart just like me.
So, my friends and I have figured out those pointy things of light that appear in the sky on cloudless nights are not "stars" and "stuff."

It is on good information (a book written by smart people) that the pictures we have been viewing are made up to make us believe that there is more than one sun and the universe is really really big.
Those astronomy people are up in the night if they expect me to believe that stuff.
Have they ever been to another star? Of course not. If they haven't been there, How do they know there is billions and billions of them? I am scared.
