But are we sure Robert Dear was intentionally targeting Planned Parenthood when he (allegedly) went to a Planned Parenthood office and killed three people and wounded nine more? Yeah, we're pretty sure:
The man accused of killing three people at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado asked at least one person in a nearby shopping center for directions to the facility before opening fire, law enforcement sources confirm to CBS News, offering the clearest suggestion yet that he was targeting the reproductive health organization.
That’s for those who weren’t already pretty sure based on the reports that Dear told investigators “no more baby parts.” Or based on the report that:
A number of people who knew Mr. Dear said he was a staunch abortion opponent. Ms. Micheau, 60, said in a brief interview Tuesday that late in her marriage to Mr. Dear, he told her that he had put glue in the locks of a Planned Parenthood location in Charleston.
“He was very proud of himself that he’d gone over and jammed up their locks with glue so that they couldn’t get in,” she said.
But, you know, who knows why he would pick Planned Parenthood for his shooting rampage? It can’t possibly have had anything to do with politics or the Republican attacks on Planned Parenthood.
