Donald Trump's campaign more or less reined him in over the weekend, with his contribution to the Sunday talk-fest restricted to a handful of tweets about "crooked" Hillary and the dishonest media. Trump himself was missing from the airwaves. Instead, they were flooded with Trump surrogates, who actually spent their time whining about how unfair the media has been.
Trump's surrogates got ample opportunity to make their voice heard Sunday on CNN. On "Reliable Sources," host Brian Stelter, who had a highly publicized and combative interview with Miller last week, had a panel composed entirely of Trump supporters, following Trump campaign complaints—including in a Saturday night tweet from Trump himself—that they were working against a biased media.
Trump's campaign has been complaining that the traditional media includes anti-Trump people on their panels talking about Trump. So Reliable Sources to the rescue! Here's the introduction to that all pro-Trump discussion.
The norm on TV, of course, is a panel representative of all sides of an argument, and this year, that means anti-Trump Republicans alongside pro Trump guests. But today, we're going to do it a little bit differently.
We're going to talk about Donald Trump and the charges of media bias in a different way, with the insiders who support him, who say there's an awful disconnect between the media and Trump voters.
So, let's hear from them now.
Here's one of their big complaints: That we've heard more about Trump's feud with a Gold Star family than we have "email servers." Because nobody has ever heard about Hillary's email. Seriously.
Thanks, CNN. We needed to know that.
