First he’s worried that people wanted to look at the taxes.
“He's got a 12,000-page tax return that would create … financial auditors out of every person in the country asking questions that would detract from [his father’s] main message,” Trump Jr. said in a Wednesday interview with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Then he claimed to know nothing about the foundation.
“You’re a director of the Trump Foundation charity, did you sign off on charity money for a portrait?” asked WTAE local news.
“No, I don’t know anything about that,” responded Trump Jr.
“So how come you didn’t know –,” asked WTAE.
“Alright, that’s it –,” a voice off-camera then immediately cuts in. “We have to move on to the next one.”
And there was his opinion on the media.
Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday suggested the media has helped Hillary Clinton by letting her “slide” on “every lie” and said that if Republicans did the same, the media would be “warming up the gas chamber” for them.
But that gas chamber remark? It’s not what you think it is.
Which really puts a new spin on “strict father.” Threatening to get out a switch? That’s tough. Threatening to “warm up the gas chamber?” That’s … something.
That’s a nearly Donald Trump level of nutsiness for twenty-four hours on the campaign trail. Probably time for Junior to go relax by shooting something.
