It was already clear that Trump University is a complete scam. But since Trump University wasn’t an actual university, didn’t have a campus, and only kept students around until they’d turned over their last dime, you’d think there wouldn’t be a problem with Trump getting overly aggressive with Trump U “coeds.”
However, Trump is now fighting to make sure he doesn't get his grope on his grift.
A decade-old recording of Donald Trump making crude comments about women may already have done serious damage to his presidential campaign, but now Trump's lawyers are trying to make sure that and other revelations about his personal behavior don't doom his defense at a civil trial set to begin next month over alleged fraud in his Trump University real estate seminar program.
In addition to keeping his brags about sexual assault off limits, Donald Trump also wants the judge to keep all those other messy little items that have turned up since people started taking a serious look at Trump.
Trump's attorneys also want to bar discussion of allegations that Trump may have paid no federal income taxes for as long as two decades, his personal charitable foundation, bankruptcies of various companies he owned or managed, and a series of comments he made alleging that Curiel was irredeemably biased because of his Latino background.
Oh, and Judge Curiel? All that “rapists and criminals” stuff, can we just put that behind, oh, let’s call it a wall. Is it too late to call it Scion University?
