Senate Democrats are into their first hours of an Obamacare talkathon, taking turns on Facebook Live to talk about the criticality of the program. Here's the first two hours, featuring Sens. Bernie Sanders, Catherine Cortez-Masto, Debbie Stabenow, and Chuck Schumer, with others, along with a group of medical students.
Democratic leader Schumer reiterated that “we are a united Democratic caucus—everyone of us has voted against Obamacare repeal. Our Republican friends are tied in a knot,” he said. “They say repeal, then they know there are so many good things as part of ACA. [...] Our colleagues on the other side of the aisle have no idea how to keep them and repeal ACA at the same time.” You can follow them on Facebook Live and on C-SPAN2.
It’s true. In fact, just today five Republican Senators introduced an amendment to extend the repeal deadline until March, in hopes that maybe somehow they can come up with a replacement idea by then.
