The Senate Intelligence Committee has now subpoenaed documents relating to the investigation into Russian election hacks and potential Trump campaign collusion from Trump's ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn. The text of the Senate press release:
Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, announced that Senate Select Committee on Intelligence today issued a subpoena for former National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Michael Flynn. The subpoena requests documents relevant to the Committee’s investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election. The Committee first requested these documents in an April 28, 2017 letter to Lieutenant General Flynn, but he declined, through counsel, to cooperate with the Committee’s request.
Trump has run amok, but we can still stop him if Senators stand up to him. Call your U.S. Senators (regardless of party) at 202-224-3121, and demand that the Senate appoint a special prosecutor on Trump’s connections with Russia.
