The issues continue in Charlottesville, VA as one neo-Nazi group has allegedly ordered its readers to disrupt the funeral of Heather Heyer, the civil rights worker who was killed during the disorder in the Virginian town of Charlottesville.
For the record, Heather D. Heyer (pictured, above) is considered a civil rights martyr who was killed on Saturday in Charlottesville, Va., after a car deliberately crashed into demonstrators protesting the Charlottesville white supremacy rally. Heyer, 32, was a Virginia paralegal who took up the causes of the less fortunate, and her tragic death is a shock to many who advocate for human rights around the nation.
The white supremacist group behind the Nazi website ‘The Daily Stormer’ is calling for Nazis affliiates to disrupt the funeral of Heather Heyer, who was killed when a white nationalist drove his car into a crowd in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The supremacist website is now being coded – so the content which was somewhat public is now secret, or due to issues of incitement of hate the host company "Godaddy" suspended the sight, at this point stories are conflicting but the site definitely is no longer available.
However, a senior member of the Daily Stormer called for “people on the ground” at Ms Heyer’s funeral. According to published reports from Andrew Auernheimer, known by the online pseudonym ‘weev’, instructed users on the do “some research” on the ceremony.
According to the website (now, unavailable) He (Auernheimer) said: “What’s the location of the fat skank’s funeral … get on it, e-sleuths. I’d do it myself but slammed with current logistical issues. I want to get people on the ground there.”
If this is the truth, the funeral later today will have many observers who want to ensure that the ceremony will go on peacefully. At this point any interruptions to Heyer's funeral will be a disservice to the family and cause further interruptions to an already deemed American tragedy. (glg)
