This month's health tracking survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that Trump's sabotage is having an effect on whether or not people are hearing about open enrollment in Obamacare. Three in 10 people surveyed said they hadn't heard anything at all about the open enrollment. But if there are significantly fewer enrollments this year, people will know who to blame.
Half (50%) of the public would say that if fewer people sign up for marketplace plans during this year’s open enrollment, it is mainly due to the Trump Administration, and most Americans (61%) see President Trump and Republicans as responsible for the Affordable Care Act’s future, the latest Kaiser Family Foundation poll finds.
If Republicans actually manage to repeal the individual mandate in Obamacare in their tax cuts bill, and Obamacare ends up fundamentally broken as a result, Republicans will be blamed. They own this now.
The best way to resist all this sabotage is 1) overwhelm Republican senators with calls and visits against the tax bill, and 2) make this Obamacare enrollment period a resounding success. The momentum thus far has been fantastic, way ahead of all predictions. But we need to keep that up. If you can, join Get America Covered and help spread the word.
