With the likely nomination of Howard Dean, I thought it'd be fun to think about how Dr. Dean's nomination will feed the CW for the next presidential election in '08.
One obvious piece of contemporary election wisdom will be strengthened: Senators just don't make US Presidents or at least they're severely handicapped when compared to Governors. The idea that our nominees must come from the South will be forsaken. Although this could be strengthened if Bush winces wins. A new idea will almost certainly be added to the pantheon... the "internet/grassroots primary" will take a very prominent seat along side all the other CW.
So, what pieces of CW are going to fall or be strengthened for 2008? What are we going to be talking about four years from now and how will that conversation differ?
