The organized right wing smear against Clark and Dean that Kos
mentioned
yesterday is already finding it's way to the op-ed pages of
newspapers in typical Rovian style. A letter
to The Chattanoogan from a Kelly McNabb reads in part
It is absolutely appalling that Wesley Clark and Howard Dean
are stroking foreign contributors for campaign donations, using
liberal fund-raising groups that advertise to foreign countries
that they can "leave their mark on Bush. It is clear that
these men have no respect for the political system or for the
American people themselves. They are sending a clear message that
the voice of the American people is no longer enough to help them
reach their personal ambitions, and that the interests of this
country are once again second to world opinion. Neither of these
men are worthy of any attention on these shores.
There will likely be a lot of such letters to
the editor in newspapers in the next week or so.
