I've also been catching Mark Shields go up against David Brooks on the NewsHour lately. On the subjects of the turkey photo op, Saddam capture, and the Libya deal, shorter Mark Shields:
"Everything that happens in the world is great news for the president, and the Democrats should give up now."
Don't even get me started on this morning's NY Times, which featured yet another Kit Seelye interpretation of a misleading poll spun for maximum GOP benefit, and John Tierney's Political Points column, which had every possible slam on every Democratic candidate. All that was missing was the requisite snark about Kerry's hair or his rich wife.
