Well, the Kerry juggernaut even took DC's primary/caucus/whatever that was supposed to be. He got 46.9% of the vote (I couldn't find any ward breakdown data, which would be fascinating.)
I stuck with Dr. Dean in the end, which was, I think the best course, as Edwards was well below the 15% threshold in the city.
I find it somewhat depressing that Dean got beaten by not only Kerry but Al Sharpton. Now I know that the DC electorate if mostly African-American, but the District has a sizable middle class black population that might be less amenable to the appeal of an Al Sharpton than one may think.
But the point is that if Dean can't win (or even come close to winning) this event, with its low and activist-heavy turnout, he probably can't win anywhere.
I thought when he failed to get a majority in the original DC "beauty contest" that Kerry, Clark, Edwards, and Lieberman all opted out of, that it was a sign of trouble.
