The Dean campaign is trying to activate thousands of new Iowa caucus-goers to vote for him.
But the polls only measure "likely" caucus-goers.
I would like to see a poll of all Iowans, with the aim being to find out how many intend to caucus, perhaps for the first time, and who supports each candidate. Remember, even Republicans can vote in the Iowa caucuses, if the re-register as Democrats at their precinct caucus.
Proposed questions:
- Do you plan to attend the caucus on January 19th?
- Have you attended the caucus in at least one of the last three elections?
- Which candidate do you support?
To get enough responses, the poll would probably have to be huge, but I think it would be interesting.
