We like to point out that Bush has no credibility whatsoever. It's true.
We all have a broad spectrum of reasons for opposing Bush, but the jewel in the crown of these reasons is the Iraq war.
No other issue has demonstrated so clearly Bush's sheer cynicism, his pathological dishonesty, his naked contempt for democracy and human life both.
We say he is dishonest, and has no credibility.
John Kerry and John Edwards both voted to support the Iraq war. They did this out of sheer political cowardice. They have an established track record of cowardice in the face of major challenges.
We need to think very carefully about how credible they are when they claim to share our views on the Iraq war, or our anger over what it represents.
They've demonstrated that they care about little else than their own careers.
Credibility applies to Democratic candidates too. We need to ask ourselves, in a sober frame of mind, exactly how much credibility either of these two men has in claiming to represent all those of us who fused ourselves into a white hot movement, standing in the streets protesting that god damned war. All they have on their record is cowardice. Why would any sane person expect based on their records that they would have the backbone to stop anything like the Iraq war from happening again? They failed us. Let's not elect them for it.
