I polled the dKos community and over 70% expressed a desire to write and questionnaire for Congressional candidates.
Here's a format I recommend.
Three open questions. And then a big field of yes/no questions (two dozen maybe?) where the candidates would be asked to respond to eight of the field. This would allow us to get a feel for the candidates priorities.
What do you think the format should be?
What should be asked?
Possible open questions:
- Why has the Democratic Party declined in power recently?
- Give an example of when you put together a diverse coalition to solve a problem.
- Give an example of when you took a principled stand at risk to your well being.
