My lovely wife wrote the Dean campaign with a very good point, I thought, and I wanted to share it with you dKossites.. (posted with her permission of course).
This is what she wrote in response to the latest Dean mailing:

I know that what is said in this message is right. But it comes off sounding like, "I did this first, I thought of this first," which to the average person is not that significant a point. I think this point, though, is at the heart of the "electability" issue, and could be made a different way.
Governor Dean, unlike Kerry, has the ability to inspire people to stand up for what they believe in. Governor Dean inspired thousands of Americans to open their checkbooks and invest in the future. No other candidate has done that. Governor Dean inspired thousands of Americans to participate in a dialog across the country that includes all ages, races, religions and genders. The likes of this dialog have never been seen before. Most significant now, Governor Dean inspired many of the other nominees to search for what they believe in and to actually speak out about it. Governor Dean has proven that he can inspire people to think about the America they want, to speak out about it, and to put their money where their mouth is. The ability to inspire people to exercise the power the Constitution gives them is the power of electability.

I think she's hit on a very good tack to take. Dean needs to talk up his ability to inspire and motivate people to action. It's important, dangit!!
