We all have our eye on the prize that gets handed out on Nov. 2 (hopefully). But should the unthinkable happen, we have already accomplished a lot this year; things that can't be easily erased. I post this not to prematurely congratulate ourselves, but to note our collective effectiveness in the hopes that it invigorates us down the stretch. Key successes to date:
<> Two open seat congressional pickups this year
<> Millions of dollars of lost wealth inflicted on the Sinclair Broadcasting Group
<> We've forced Bush to say that he will not restart the draft (whether he sticks to that is another story). Kerry has promised the same.
<> Obama-rama!
<> We've introduced Howard Dean to the world. He is not going away.
<> Registered millions of new voters
<> Exposed Novak as the douchebag that he is.
<> We've kept stem cells in the forefront of the debate
What else?
