Approaching ten days out, its time for the Kerry campaign to change the tone. Its time to stop bickering about "he did this" or "he failed to do this". Its time for these people to realize that they are a handful of days away from the prize. Its time for them to realize that they are a break here or there from having their hands on the most powerful post in the world.
Simply put, its time to start talking as if they are already there. What is John Kerry going to do in the first 100 days of his administration? What is John Kerry going to do to begin uniting Americans. How is John Kerry going to frame the last four years so that he can build to the future?
The name George Bush needs to become an afterthought. I've read this on other blogs and I think its right, John Kerry now needs to frame the dialogue such that its "Thanks George Bush for your direction over the last four years, but its time to turn the page".
Are you out there Kerry people, its time to act like winners. If someone had told you 6 months ago that 10 days out you'd be effectively tied, you'd have totally taken it. But, don't be happy to be in the big dance, ACT LIKE WINNERS.
Seal the deal. Now is as good a time as any.
