I don't have a lot of money, so my contributions to the campaign consist mostly of volunteering to do canvassing in my local area. But recently, I read a post in a political bulletin board that lamented the lack of good political song parodies on that board. The poster offered to contribute $250 to the Democratic Party if someone would compose and post a funny song parody about Dubya. I had several that I already had written, but the poster wanted the parody to be to the tune of
Georgy Girl. The following song parody, presented for your amusement, was the result of my effort. The poster liked the parody and immediately contributed $250 to the Democratic Party. He even posted a copy of the electronic receipt he received from the DNC. (OK, I know these things can be faked by a motivated faker, but that wouldn't fit a lot of the facts of the behavior of that poster on that board). Anyway, here it is:
Georgy Boy
(Sung to the tune of Georgy Girl)
Hey there, Georgy boy
Swagger down that runway, fantasy
Everyone you meet can all agree
There's no brain in there, inside you
Hey there, Georgy boy
Mission now accomplished, so you said
Why so many soldiers dead?
Iraq falls into despair
You don't like nation-building
But now you're willing to try
But when you do, a lot of folks die
You idiot
Hey there, Georgy boy
You said Saddam had nasty things to hide
Everyone just thinks you lied
And though you say you want peace
The world just sees
Right through Georgy boy
Hey there, Georgy boy
Where's the budget surplus we enjoyed?
Why so many unemployed?
Is it s'posed to be this way?
You're fighting evil axes
And income taxes, but yet
You give us only corpses and debt
You idiot
(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Fuck up, Georgy boy
(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Moron, Georgy boy
(Hey there, Georgy boy)
Fuck up, Georgy boy
