I just failed Gallup's likely voter screen. You can take the quiz here.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/graphics/electionquiz/flash.htm
Obviously, we knew their likely voter model was all screwed up, but this just confirms it.
The questions:
1. How much thought have you given to the upcoming election.
- Quite a lot (My Answer)
- A little
2. Do you happen to know where people in your neighborhood go and vote?
- Yes
- No (My answer, I sort of know but not exactly. This also rules out absentee ballots/early voting people)
3. Have you ever voted in your precinct or election district?
4. How often would you say you vote?
- Always
- Nearly Always
- Part of the Time (My answer)
- Seldom
5. Do you plan to vote in the Presidential Election this November?
6. Are you registered to vote in your precinct or district?
7. If "1" designates someone who definitely won't vote and "10" designates someone who definitely will vote, where would you rate yourself?
My Answer: 10
"Your responses to these questions indicate you aren't among those Americans who are likely to vote on Election Day"
In conclusion, you shouldn't take any of the Gallup numbers seriously. There's no way a newly registered voter can pass through the screening. Young people are being seriously undersampled.
