After Kerry has won the election, I think all the pundits will be looking back at the news in the past week (especially "game-set-match" KSTP video) as the pivotal point in the election, establishing that Bush/Cheney just weren't playing with a full deck when they rushed into Iraq with too few ground troops.
It jives with the "candidates are neck-and-neck" horserace story that they've all been promoting, as it allows them to say that the "impact of the missing explosives issue was never fully measured in polls", thus CYA on all the polls that were wildly off the mark of the Kerry landslide.
What is the best metaphor for how Bush/Cheney lost the race in the last week?
Take the poll!
