With the release of the ISG report yesterday confirming what we've known all along...there were NO WMDs in IRAQ...not only do we need to hammer the Bush Administration on that but there is a bigger issue that may yield better results.

They lied to our allies. They lied to the American people! They lied to our soldiers! Thousands and dead and wounded for a lie! They lied to bring true a wet dream of theirs. Bush as wanted since the day he took office, and the neocons have wanted since the first Gulf War, to invade Iraq and take down Hussein. 9/11 was the excuse. This is going to sound horrible, but 9/11 was the lipstick they put on this pig to sell it to us and our allies. And their continuing efforts to make us put on rose-colored glasses to see things the way they want us to see them is a furtherance of that deception.
The bigger issue to me is not just the clusterfuck that is Iraq, but the absolute disregard for the truth in this administration. Iraq is just the most evident example of this disregard. They do it every day in every capacity. Medicare reform (threaten the actuary who wanted to tell the truth), NCLB (of course we'll fund it, yeah right), tax cuts (of course they're for the middle class, yeah right). Hell, Cheney lying about not meeting Edwards before is a prime example of lying when you don't even have to!!! On an on there are examples in our domestic and foreign policy of Bush and his cronies LYING TO US!
I think we need to reframe the debate into "How can we trust this administration to tell us the truth about the important things when they can't even tell the truth about the little things???" How can we trust this administration to protect us when they can't admit there's a problem?? They have no credibility. They've cried wolf too many times. The word of the American president used to be gold, now it's shit. We need to hammer them on how they are incapable of telling the truth.
They promised to return honesty and integrity back to the White House. That my friends is the biggest lie of all.
UPDATE I just saw the new ad on the DNC website. They perfectly address the issue. I just need a vacation! Thanks for reading!
